AMENDMENT TO SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

 

1       RULES

 

1.2     When Flag Y is displayed with one sound  before or with the warning signal, all competitors shall wear life-jackets or other adequate personal buoyancy.  It is up to the skipper of each individual boat to determine whether life-jackets are worn at times other than when required by the Race Committee.  This Amended 1.2 completely replaces Paragraph 1.2 in the original SAILING INSTRUCTIONS.

 

5       BOATS PROVIDED BY THE ORGANIZING AUTHORITY (OA)

 

5.3     This is a new Paragraph 5.3.  All boats racing in this regatta, whether provided by the OA or not, shall sail with their outboard engines mounted on each boat’s transom in the normal raised position.  Any boats wishing to sail with their propellers in the water may do so as long as the engine is not running at the time.

 

The following was announced and posted at the skipper’s meeting on 23 June 2007:

 

16     Scoring

 

          In order to prevent an 18 to 18 tie, first in each race place shall be scored 1.25 points not 1 point.
